Here we go again

Part of the reason I wasn’t upset about not getting the Christian Aid job was I knew there was a job coming up--a 12-month maternity cover--for Sustainable NI. The job has now been advertised and, sigh, it’s the same old mountain I have to climb. An 11-page application form in which I have to fill in dozens of boxes with my education and work experience--you can’t just send in a CV here. It’s a sectarian thing--CVs can give too much away about whether you are Catholic or Protestant. Among the 10 questions I need to answer:
Please demonstrate by providing personal and specific examples that you have experience of working with district councils, public sector bodies or similar large complex organisations. (Max 200 words)

Please demonstrate by providing personal and specific examples that you have hands-on experience of managing, promoting and running successful events (for example conferences, training events and workshops). (Max 200 words)

Please demonstrate by providing personal and specific examples that you have a working knowledge of local government, its internal processes and their relevance to current sustainable development issues. (Max 200 words)

The application is due July 13, so I have until then to get all the necessary experience.
