I definitely miss the leisurely weekends of touring around Ireland. Below is a photo from Cushenden on the north Antrim coast. It is such a lovely drive.

We met for two and a half hours this morning with the contractor and the plumber. They are tearing the place up. A young guy tore the kitchen out while we were there. Our contractor, Colin, has been great to work with. We hired a separate company to do the kitchen and Colin suggested some major changes, that we are going to do. While the kitchen company installs the cupboards and appliances, we needed Colin to put in windows and French doors to the garden. Kitchen Colin (we have two Colins) suggested adding three windows to the one already there in the wall separating the conservatory and the kitchen. Contractor Colin suggested two windows--one the same size as the existing window and, in between, a larger window. This is what I wanted originally and kitchen Colin talked me out of it. The reason being that he was trying to map to existing filled-in windows and doors. Once there would have been an outhouse and a coalhouse and a window. Kitchen Colin was trying to make the new windows align with the mismatched brick where the old openings had been. Contractor Colin said he can move the old brick around so we can still get rid of the lighter colored brick. I will try to add a photo later to explain this.
In the meantime, a cove at Cushendun.
