Memory Lane
So the following weeks I focused on a photo album for my mom. I went through thousands of photos. Some were prints taken out of shoe boxes. Some were digital images, pulled from cards used in digital cameras. Some were from CDs. Some came out of this blog. Some were photos taken of photos in frames. I have no idea how many hours were involved but it was a bit of a memory lane marathon over weeks. Below is a 2002 image from the cruise mom and I took to Alaska when she turned 70 and I turned 40.
I don't know what year this is, but it was taken at a mountain house my parents owned in Canaan Valley West Virginia.
This is the cover photo. I love it because we are both laughing, which we do a lot together. My mom is really funny. And what a wonderful gift, to make others laugh.
When I started putting the photos into Shutterfly, it told me I'd get a discount if I finished in 24 hours. So I stayed up until 1 a.m. today finishing the stupid thing, then had to be on an 8 a.m. call with a group of Australians. I hope mom likes the result. It was a lot of work but also a lot of fun.
