1, 2, 3
As in May 1, 2, 3. Came back from Derry on Monday and decompressed. Tuesday and Wednesday were gorgeous days, which create this pressure to do something. I really feel like I should be out hiking or cycling to take advantage of such a gorgeous day, but I also have enough commitments (eye exam, volunteering, coffee with a friend) that I never make that happen and just dotter about the house a lot. I am the opposite of Buddhist--rather than being content in the now, I’m always fretting about what I should be doing.
Anyway, David and Stuart came by for a visit on Wednesday and saved my bacon by offering to take Maysie to the kennel Thursday morning, when I’m flying to London. The kennel is only open from 9-10 and my flight is at 11 and not that close to the kennel. That was a big stress reliever. My David is in Sweden for two weeks, so I have extra logistics. When David and Stuart arrived, I was in a tizzy over trying to figure out whether to take the bus or one of five trains from Gatwick to London. It wasn’t clear which of them would get me closest to Liverpool Street Station, which is where I had a meeting Thursday afternoon. I was also struggling to reserve a parking space at Belfast airport and understand how quickly I’d get from the lot to the airport. Travel is such a joy.
