Year in Review
I think I used to write things called Year in Review for Vanguard. Today I'm scanning through my 2018 calendar before I toss it.
January, a week in Barcelona. Followed by 2 weeks of severe cold/flu?
February. Edinburgh dance weekend. Headed to US in mid-Feb.
March. Returned in mid-March. Went to London for work, end of March.
April. Week in America for my uncle's funeral. Saw Joe & Carlos, nephew Meade and his fiance, many cousins, former Vanguard colleagues, UU church members. When back in Ulster, enjoyed a lovely birthday hike.
May. Derry Jazz Fest. Entertained Primms & Dara.
June. Unemployment begins. House projects undertaken. Mom arrives end of month, visited Powerscourt, Glendalough.
July. Went to Donegal for the golf, toured some of the headlands. End of month, visited Wexford.
August. Frielfest Donegal
Sept. Final month of golfing twice per week. 3rd cold of the year, out of commission for two weeks. Joined book club.
October. Attended 50th anniversary workshops marking Derry civil rights movement. Swing dance in Portrush. Had PRI interview and accepted job.
Nov. 1 is Paddy Day!!!! Book club dinner. In London for first week of PRI.
Dec. 10X9 storytelling in Derry. Duke Special concert. First panto. Headed to mom's Dec. 19 for Christmas. Enjoyed two servcies at UU church.
All in all, a good year. Lots of friends, lots of travel, a new puppy and a new job!
