Meade’s big day

Mom and I spent the first part of the day doing a power shop at the Leesburg outlet mall. Eight pairs of shoes between us. Neither mom nor I have access to the brands available at the outlet. I bought three pairs of waterproof shoes (one hiking boots, two walking shoes) to keep my tootsies dry while walking Paddy and hiking.

Then on to the wedding. I didn't take a camera so here is the wedding video, better by far. Someone took a photo of mom and I and sent prints to mom, who is sending me copies. I'll include those when I get them.

My nephew Meade and his betrothed, Erin O'Brien, are a formidable match. Both of them are funny, smart, good looking, ambitious, kind. It was a civil ceremony, they wrote their own vows, and it was lovely. Just suffused with the love and admiration they have for each other. Meade's brother Graham and Erin's sister Kendall both gave very good toasts--the whole night was perfect. I'm so happy for them.

They are going to Japan on their honeymoon. I left my Japanese dressing gown behind for Erin in case that is something she'd like.
