Moping & Memories
The cold I’ve had for nearly a week robs me of energy and good will, so I don’t go anywhere or talk to anyone. It’s been a long weekend. David is in the states, so I don’t even have occasional sightings of him in between work and art classes, which he takes 2 or 3 times a week when he isn’t in England for work.
The Primms traveled around Ireland for nine days after leaving here then went to Norway for an oral history conference and a bike trip. They sent me some photos the other day from their time here. This is Alec at Daft Eddy’s midway through our bike ride.
This is Dara and I at Fairhead when we stopped for lunch. There were a lot of cliff climbers that day. As we enjoyed our lunch, three guys wrapped in ropes and carabiners from the Republic came by and told us the the abortion amendment had been repealed by a large margin.
Immediately after the Primms arrived way back on May 24--seems like a lifetime ago--we walked through the recently restored tropical ravine at Botanic Gardens.
The ravine had just reopened after a major restoration. Here’s a video about the restoration, if you’re into Victorian tropical gardens.
