Substitution, part two

A while ago I was being all brave about getting older. If I can’t run (due to plantar fasciitis), why I’ll just swim. However I’ve had a cold ever since I got back from London and swimming has not been in the cards. So I’m getting zero exercise. Which has a very bad effect on me--mentally and physically.

Luckily, I’ve taken it easy this week. I’ve worked so many hours in my “three day/week” job over the past fortnight that I allowed myself a lot of downtime this week. I actually did some cooking, which I haven’t done in months. I made a lovely butternut squash lasagna. It’s such a nice change to have homemade food that I like.
