St. Patrick's

Today I took mom to St. Patrick’s Church in Belfast city centre. I used to be able to pull photos off the internet--but that doesn’t seem to work anymore. Here is a brief history of the church.
Afterward we spent probably close to two hours at my neighbours’ watching the final rounds of the Irish Open. It ended up being a very exciting finish, with a Scottish and a New Zealand player in a sudden death finish. The Scottish player sunk a 40-foot putt on the 18th to make it into the final round. When they replayed the 18th as part of the playoff, the Kiwi had a 60-yard advantage after their tee shots. However, the Scottish player’s second shot took him to the same place on the green he had just been. Unbelievably, he sunk another 40-foot putt. It was like lightning striking twice.
Dinner was a pizza from Co-op--how far we’ve fallen from lobster at Rathmullan!
