Spoilt rotten
My mom spoils me when I'm home--I'm allowed to pay for nothing and she gives me whatever I can fit in my suitcase.
Today my friend Ann spoiled me. A lovely lunch at Avoca. Then a concert at the Black Box--the Henry sisters, three sisters from Donegal who sing in beautiful harmonies. Ann is just back from Myanmar, where the pollution, the unusal diet, and the time lag wore her down. I should be spoiling her but she insisted this was a catch-up Christmas present.
In turn I spoil wee Paddy. I took him to Botanic Garden today and he had a fine time meeting other dogs and exploring the rose garden, the Japanese garden and the playing fields. I wish I'd taken a photo. He did incredibly well off leash, never getting too far away. That was my #1 criteria--a dog I can have off leash without worrying about him taking off. I think we've got a pretty strong bond already.
Tonight I went to a dance class to learn the jitterbug stroll. It's quite tricky. It was good to see my old friends from Belfast Swing.
