Settling in
First week of the year is closing. All good so far. Mom spends a good amount of time reading (Richard Osman's third mystery ATM) and at night we watch TV. Graham Norton, Escape to the Chateau, Love it or List it among the selections. I worked Tues-Thurs, however at a very gentle pace so as not to upset my holiday settings.
We've had a few visits from friends and been out on some shopping trips (Marks & Spencer one night, Lidl another). Yesterday we went swimming for the first time at the Lisnasharragh Leisure Center, where I swim. Today, Saturday, mom joined us at the Davidsons for tea and Belfast baps after the neighbourhood group walked our dogs at Stormont. Then we ran a few errands. Then she took a nap while I walked Paddy in some fields above Belfast.
Tonight my friend Patricia is having us over for dinner.
I have two away weekends planned but the first one doesn't begin until 20 Jan. to give mom plenty of time to get her sea legs.
