Relatively speaking

My predecessors are Irish on all sides: Casey, Riley, McGovern, McLaughlin. I guess it's not a surprise then that I'm constantly seeing people who look just like my relatives. I've recently "seen" a cousin, an aunt, and--yesterday--my grandfather! I was sitting at a traffic light looking at the man in the car behind me and he was the spitting image. The light turned and I just sat there, I was so thrilled to see him.

I still have dreams about my favourite dog Bill. When I wake up I have a feeling similar to my traffic light feeling of gratitude at having a chance to connect to someone I've loved and long ago lost.
