Queen's for a day

I learned this afternoon that I was missing today's orientation for international students at Queen's. My registration has been slowed by having a spouse visa instead of a student visa, something that is apparently totally unexpected. So I ran to campus and caught the last event--the library and campus tour. Very impressive.

I'm old enough to be the mother of everyone on the tour, but so what? I bought a MacBook Air when I was in the U.S., which I'm typing on now. Doesn't having an Apple product make you instantly younger and hipper? Now if I can just learn how to download and use an app on my smartphone, I'll really be cooking with gas. I bet no one says that anymore. Google tells me the phrase dates to the 1940s, so I guess I'm older than I think.
