PwC

I spent the first half of the day on the 10th floor of a PwC tower in South London with a great view of the Tower Bridge (sadly no photos). I was at a conference where utility executives, securities analysts, sustainability officers, and so on discussed how utilities will make the transition to low carbon. It was a fascinating discussion, with an interesting focus on the role of regulators. The industry is changing so fast and so dramatically that regulators don’t have the skills to keep up and are holding the industry back, as are investors, who are rather fond of the dividends that utilities kick off.

I spent the second half of the day typing up five pages of notes from the event. Here are some photos taken in Hyde Park:
