Ports

Tonight I went to a concert where four Northern Ireland bands were featured. The best one was from Derry and was originally called Little Bear. When they went to Nashville to record, they found that that phrase was trademarked in the US, so they changed their name to Ports, an homage to Derry being a port city. Kind of like last night, I was struck by the intimate setting in which I was seeing incredibly talented performers hang out with the audience without any sense of self-importance. If Ports go onto great things, which I think is possible, I can say I sat right in front of the stage at one of their concerts.
