Paddy

Despite very sore ribs, I've been working in the garden, digging up and replanting turf to widen my borders. Not wise as I think it has set me back, rib-wise. But we have had week after week of gorgeous weather so it's hard to stay out of the garden. Even though Paddy tried to kill me on Easter and even though he does a lot of damage to my border gardens, how can I not adore him?

Now that things are blooming, I'm making bouquets with my own flowers. With the exception of the white lilac, which is from next door. Marshall's old house was bought by an Ulster Rugby player, who leased it to another player from New Zealand. He's back in NZ enjoying lockdown at home. So Marshall's old lilac bush is fragrantly blooming in an empty yard. So I helped myself.
