Not staying put

While mom and I didn't go on our respective trips, we did make the most of our time at home. Friday we ran a few errands then explored the shops in Holywood and had lunch at the Camphill Cafe. We did a big shop at Tesco Extra, the biggest grocery here.

Saturday we went for a long stroll along the coast. With the rollator, mom can go really far--would you believe 0.85 mile? Must be the sea air. There were quite a few swimmers, they would be to the left of this shot, where the buoys are.

We sat at this bench about halfway then continued on to a cafe in Crawfordsburn park, where we had lunch. Not far behind this bench is a tee box on Helen's Bay Golf Course, which I played a few years ago as mom watched from the buggy.

Saturday night we saw the Fabelmans. Sunday my neighbour took mom to mass while I played golf. Then we went to another neighbour's for dinner. My friend Claire and her husband put on a feast--mom got to enjoy lamb and chicken while I was treated to roast pepper with feta and basil. Plus four platters of veg! Also present were Claire's mother, who is the same age as mom, my knitting neighbour Thea and other neighbours Christine and Andrew.

Now it's Monday evening and we are working our way through season 20 of Strictly Come Dancing.
