Narnia

After I swam today I went to the Lampost Cafe for lunch. It’s a Narnia-themed cafe in East Belfast, home of C.S. Lewis. It had a fire burning and was just as snug and cute a place as you could hope for.
I had an amazing frittata--again failing in the vegan scheme of things. It was delicious and sated my massive post-swim appetite.

I had my friend Sophie over for dinner. Marks & Spencer’s had a great “dine in for two” special on, so that is what we had. She’s a really good cook. I thought for about 30 seconds on whether I should make a proper home-cooked meal. But that would have prevented me from putting up Christmas decorations, swimming, cleaning the house, and 20 other things I got done today.

There are always a lot of people stocking shelves in Marks and Spencer’s and they ask you if you need help and they offer advice on what’s available. It’s a wonderful place to shop. The car park, however, is a total disaster. NI seems to specialise in car parks where all traffic comes to a standstill when any car leaves a space.
