Mournes, p1

I spent my first full day back (Friday) doing not much of anything. I think I took her highness for two long walks along the coastal path. It was lovely to see so many things in bloom, roses, foxglove, hydrangeas.

For the next three days I'll feature photos from our Sunday hike up Slieve Donard, at 2,790 feet the highest mountain in Ulster. That may not sound terribly high, but you climb it from sea level so you earn your dinner.

Amazing stonework provides a path almost the entire hike.

There were lots of waterfalls.

We're renaming our dog McMaysie of the Mournes.
