Midweek Mingle

MeetUp.com is a way people connect with each other to go to films, theatre, concerts, etc. Every Wednesday is the Midweek Mingle, at a different pub each week. I’ve been to maybe two or three. Last night's meeting was at the John Hewitt, a pub named for a Belfast poet. There’s a wonderful mural of famous writers from Northern Ireland--amazing how many. I had an interesting chat with a Brazilian who teaches computer science at Queen’s and a Polish scientist who works in biotech and who is homesick for Poland.
