May Bank Holiday

Three day weekend! One accomplishment was removing the last of the wallpaper from this wall.

Sunday was a lovely day so my friend Marek and I headed to Castle Ward for a hike with Paddy. He'd never been and, as a GoT fan, was keen to see Winterfell. Below is a view of Strangford Lough from Audley's Castle.

And Audley's Castle (called something else in GoT).

We walked about 6.5 miles through a variety of landscapes--fields, forest, coast. And topped it off with hot drinks and snacks in the stable yard.

It was a lovely day and I finished it with a round of golf. I packed a lot in to Sunday as the weather on Monday was suited only to indoor pursuits.
