Massahhhge
The woman I used to go to for massage had a baby in October, so she took a proper break. She returned to work last week (she works from her home, so returned to work is not geographical) and I went to see her today. I get pains in my lower neck and shoulder blades that feel like flesh-eating acid. I went to someone else for help a few months ago and no relief.
The best part of the visit was giving her a congratulations card I got in Florida. It was a pop-up card with a colourful, intricately laser cut scene of marine life--sea horse, shells, fish. She and her husband sail and they live near the beach and she loved it. I thought it could be a keepsake for a shelf in the baby’s room. She said she’d gotten scores of cards and that was her favourite one. I get a kick out of giving people gifts that delight them. I don’t always succeed but when I do, I feel as tickled as the gift recipient.
