Johnston Contracting

As I said, I'm sending our contractors before and after shots, so I'm going to do the same in blog land.
Dining room:

What you don't want to see when you look at the ceiling:

It got a new ceiling, a new plaster wall, new radiator, and new wiring.

The rug that is in there isn't destined to be the long-term rug. I don't think the dry sink will be in there long-term either or the TV, but you get the picture. My grandfather's portrait is on the wall on the right.

On to the living room:

It got a new floor, new plaster wall, new radiator, new wiring.

Note Maysie grabbing the spotlight. I believe I have posted pictures of these rooms before but maybe at an earlier stage. In the coming weeks, we will take delivery of a sofa and two wingback chairs for this room--these upholstered chairs will go back in the bedroom.

We are now painting the stairs that go from the second to the third floor and the landing/hallways on the second floor. There will be before and afters when the runner is installed, which will be in the next two weeks, hopefully while my mom is here. Progress is good.
