Jingle Mingle

To counteract the loneliness of working from home, I make myself go to MeetUps, even if I can make a very good case for staying in with a book. Tonight I went to the Midweek Mingle, had a G&T, chatted with a few people, then headed home. The highlight was wandering around the Christmas market beforehand. It is on the grounds of Belfast City Hall and looks like this (internet photo):

Once you go through the gates into the grounds, it’s a warren of stalls selling French pastries, German brats, Dutch bulbs, Nordic sweaters, and fudge of an unknown provenance. It’s very festive and a fun place to wander around.

The only thing I was tempted to buy were wreaths made of bird seed--I’d love to hang them outside my office window.
