How not to begin a year

Traveling. Ugh. However, I must say it went smoothly. Mom took me to the Parkersburg airport at 11:30 a.m., extra early for my 12:50 flight (it’s a tiny airport). My second flight left two hours late out of Dulles but I still arrived on time in Dublin. I caught the 6 a.m. bus to Belfast instead of the 7 a.m. bus I had booked. So door to door Parkersburg WV to Belfast was 16 hours. Not bad. The reason our Dublin flight was delayed was a strong headwind on the westbound flight, which meant a strong tailwind on the eastbound flight--5.5 hours compared with the 8.5 it took coming over a few weeks ago. Amazing the difference a tailwind makes.
