Homeless no more

Today I bid on a beautiful Victorian townhouse on the marina in Bangor. The owners accepted the bid, I hired an attorney and arranged an inspection for Thursday. A very productive morning.

I spent the afternoon reviewing websites about the visa application process. It's pretty depressing. So many hurdles and so many ways to make a mistake. I return to the U.S. to begin the visa application process on May 23. It can take anywhere from three weeks to three months, which makes planning a home purchase difficult and moving all your worldly goods difficult. And the U.K. government can reject my application for any reason, despite my $1,600 application fee. Sigh.
