Gimmick

I remember a book (that became a film) about a woman who decided to cook all of the recipes in Julia Child’s cookbook and write a blog about it. At the time, there was a spate of similar books. A writer comes up with a gimmick and turns it into a book.

Whenever I text and the predictive text offers me a bunch of inappropriate words, I think that someday someone will write a book by choosing the random words s/he is offered while writing something else. It’s a really stupid idea and that’s why I think I will see it in a bookstore some day.
