Fiddle dee dee

David has been taking a fiddle class once a week and tonight all the music classes joined for a concert. There were groups for every imaginable instrument in the traditional Irish music canon: bodhran, concertina, accordion, tin whistle, flute, banjo, harp. And there was step dancing (think Riverdance) and, after all the groups performed, there was a ceili, where the audience could get up and dance in sets. Imagine four pairs of dancers in a square doing a range of patterns. There was a lot of twirling and circling and dizzy making. It was fun but we didn't last long.
