Here are the festivals on right now (that I know of):

I bet there are more than 1000 events between them. A man came by to interview me about arts and culture in Belfast recently. I told him there are too many festivals and too many events at each--it’s so overwhelming I just ignore them. He said you need to focus on just a few festivals that you like. He suggested the jazz and blues festival at Rostrevor, for instance. Whatever.
I guess the important thing to remember is festivals didn’t used to be a thing in Northern Ireland. And now it’s wall-to-wall festivals. Which is better than bombs and riots.
