Dunseverick to the Giant's

As many times as I’ve been up the North Antrim Coast, taking visitors along the coastal drive to Giant’s Causeway, there is much I’ve missed. Such as the hike from Dunseverick Castle to Giant’s Causeway.

The pile of rocks on the left is what remans of the gate lodge to the castle, which fell into the sea. It was destroyed by Cromwell’s forces in the 1642, a bad time for real estate in Ireland. More on Dunseverick from Wiki.

Just another day in lovely Ireland.

We hiked with the NI Hiking and Photography Group, run by Colleen Bell and David Doyle. Who successfully implored the weather gods to shine on us.

In the distance is a white speck, the Port Moon Bothy. It is a cottage with no amenities. You can stay there for free but you have to kayak in and kayak out. More info here.
