Donegal Day 1

I am off the next two weeks and absolutely delighted.

Monday I hosted book club so was busy all day mowing, watering plants, hoovering, food shopping, tidying. The nine of us had a good conversation about The Sixteen Trees of the Somme. Tuesday morning I played with my buddy Patricia.

We went out early so I could get on the road to Donegal – my home for the next five nights. Paddy and I started at Boardwalk Beach near Downings.

The throwing of Frisbees got underway.

I missed having my suit on – would love to have gone for a swim. Instead I drove into Downings to meet Harvey and Simon for dinner, then guided them to the house in Creeslough – a bit difficult to find. They will play 5 rounds off golf over the next three days compared to 1.5 rounds of golf for me.
