Hobby horse made by my mom on the mantle.

The piece of furniture below used to be in the foyer covering the electrical panel with all the breakers. The new radiator cover (yesterday’s photo) hides both that panel and a radiator we added in the foyer. Now this cabinet is sporting a candle box made by my dad which holds an array of Christmas ornaments made by my mom. I’m not sure how I grew up around creative people without a speck of talent.

Decorating for Christmas has always been infused by so many memories, given that most of my decorations were made by my mom. Her father absolutely loved Christmas, and he passed that love on to his family.
