Copeland Islands
Tomorrow, I will hop on a boat with my hiking and photography group to take a walk around the largest of the Copeland Islands, off of Donaghadee. Given that I’m constantly playing catchup, I’ll begin posting photos today of tomorrow’s trip. Here’s the view from our boat in the harbour before we left:
And when we returned:
A big ass yacht slipped in ahead of us.
The first thing I visited on the island was a cemetery.
The hiking group had walked on, so I didn’t have time to poke around and read headstones. It was a really cold day and I hadn’t dressed correctly--it was warm and sunny when I left the house. Lulled into underdressing, as usual. But the sun came out occasionally, particularly as we enjoyed the view of one of the smaller islands.
And again:
The other hikers have big cameras with long lenses. I have a little digital camera whose zoom needs a bit more zoom zoom. I did the best I could. More tomorrow.
