Casting my vote

There's an election coming up for members of parliament. Northern Ireland sends something like 9 MPs to the London parliament. I stopped in at an MP's office and learned that, on my spouse visa, I'm allowed to vote in local council elections, assembly elections (for the Stormont parliament here in Belfast) and for the European Parliament, but not for the London Parliament. Three out of four. Not bad. I doubt the U.S. allows anyone to vote in any election unless they are full-fledged U.S. citizens. I won't have British citizenship for five years, so I'm glad I get to vote in the meantime.

My presentation on competition law went well. Now it's on to Monday's deadline for a paper for my environmental justice class.
