I'm taking something like seven classes this semester. It's hard to keep track b/c some are one day (all day), some two-day, some are two hours every week all semester, some are three hours for only two weeks. I'm still not clear about my schedule.

The good news is I have been required to buy only one book for 31 pounds. The rest of the readings are uploaded as pdfs into folders for each week of the course. Or they are available as e-books through Queen's library. How cool is that? Of course I've had all kinds of technical difficulties. I couldn't open a pdf at the postgrad student center (very quiet study halls) so I had to go to the library (much more hustle bustle and noise), where there's tech support and I had no problem opening a pdf.

I'm on the train again. Here's a photo of Samson or Goliath, one of the cranes that are an iconic figure in Belfast. They are in the Harland and Wolff shipyard. This is taken from the train, not the best angle. I love the cranes b/c you can see them no matter where you are in Belfast so they help me get my sense of direction.
