If you've ever wondered what life would be like in a village taken over by jihadis, I highly recommend the film Timbuktu. A village in Mali is overrun by Libyan jihadis enforcing sharia law. The director Abderrahmane Sissako tells his tale beautifully and with great love for the villagers. It is sad, beautiful and tragic.
