Ards Forest to Ards Friary and back

Sunday I did the loop hike I meant to do yesterday. I have no idea how many miles it was--a lot. But it was a gorgeous day and I could have spent the entire day on the coast.

First we walked a very long drive from the main road to Dunfanaghy into the Forest Park. I studied a map board in the car park then headed to the beach.

Paddy is so happy on Donegal beaches that I feel guilty taking him home.

I saw very few people, surprising given how lovely the weather was.

I foolishly brought no water or food so I ran out of gas before I ran out of road. Paddy, wee dot in the distance, never tired. I went home and spent the afternoon reading my book in a the sunroom. Such a heavenly day.
