Anti- antitrust

My first paper of this semester is due tomorrow. I've been at the library all week researching and writing. I have to evaluate the theoretical framework used in a legal academic article. I chose one on antitrust law and here's one of the things I've learned. Courtesy of Reagan court appointees, the definition of monopoly in the U.S. is now in reference to a threshold of 90%. By comparison, Canada sees monopolies arising above market control of 20% and Europe sets the threshold at 40%.

Doesn't that tell you something about the political power of banks, media, food companies, health care providers and other sectors that have reached bloated proportions?
