Another day in Belfast

I was sitting in my car eating lunch today, as I had an hour to kill between meetings and it seemed easiest to pack a lunch. I had the windows down and was listening to a call-in program on which tomorrow’s Brexit vote was being discussed.

I was parked next to a paint store, out of which stepped a man, presumably an employee, who lit a cigarette. After a few minutes, he approached my car. I thought he was going to tell me to park elsewhere or to turn down my radio. “Can I make you a cup of coffee or tea?” he said. I fall in love with Ireland over and over again based on experiences like this.
