A new world retail record
Christmas shopping happened over the course of about three hours today. I had done some power shopping in August when we toured the west of Ireland (mostly neices and nephews). Today I tore through Tesco for some lovely Christmas tins of biscuits (Cadbury's Christmas collections), then raced through four charity shops looking for sweaters for David, then I did a drive-by at the Holywood Golf Club (Rory's course), where I bought my mom a golf shirt. Then to the house by 3 pm to meet with Habitat for Humanity, which took our old kitchen cupboards and carcasses for re-use. Then to Queen's by 4 pm for my last class of the semester. Then to the pub for a drink with my fellow students (except I didn't have a drink). And then home to pack in preparation for tomorrow's trip to the U.S. In other words, a long day.
